Originally from the UK, David began his teaching career at a primary school in Newcastle Upon-Tyne before moving to Hong Kong in 2010. After arriving, he worked at a well-known private school and a “through-train” Direct Subsidy School before joining SWCS YMCA Christian School in 2015. He has taught in both Key Stage 1 and 2 and has been a Year Coordinator since 2018. In 2020, he studied an NPQML in Middle Leadership with a focus on improving reading in Key Stage 1. David believes every child is unique and has something special that they can bring to the classroom. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, photography and music.
